Bob Jones math team collaborates for national Top 20
MADISON — The Math Team at Bob Jones High School rated among the top 20 schools nationally in the 2013 Collaborative Problem-Solving Contest.
Only one other Alabama school, Hoover High School, placed in the top 20.
“Bob Jones placed in every national competition this year,” math teacher and team sponsor Kimberly Cox said.
“In summary, we won the following national awards: 22nd in the fall start-up event, 23rd in team scramble, 21st in ciphering time trials, 11th in the ‘4 x 4’ contest, 20th in the Collaborative Problem Solving Contest and 7th in Advanced Math Mathfax,” Cox said.
