Humphrey recognized for Girl Scout volunteering
MADISON – Anita Humphrey of Madison recently received the 25 Years of Service pin at the Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama annual meeting.
Other local Girl Scout volunteers honored at the event were Terri Denson of Huntsville for 20 years of service; Chana Johnson of Huntsville, 30 years; and Tricia Cantrell-Teetor of Hazel Green, 35 years.
“Service Units 31 and 35 in Madison County received the Girl Scouts of the USA President’s Award,” communications coordinator Robyn Tucker said.
Service unit managers Gwen Dingle and Willette Battle, Deatrice Johnson and Terri Denson with Service Unit 31 and Christin Jocson with Service Unit 35 accepted the awards on behalf of volunteers of each unit.
The President’s Award recognizes the efforts of a geographic area team or program delivery team in moving its assigned area or audience toward achievement of the council’s goals.
