Frog & Fairy offers quality consignment deals for children, maternity

MADISON – Frog & Fairy is making the task of consigning easy by doing all the work for the consignor.

“Frog and Fairy fills that gap,” owner Georgia Sampson said. “We price, tag and hang. We offer a 90-day selling period and a 50/50 split” for quality children’s and maternity consignment.

While Huntsville and Madison have consignment shops, those stores are not “focused on just children’s and maternity consignment on a permanent basis. We maintain a ‘wish list’ for highly sought-after items,” Sampson said. She also promotes merchandise on Facebook and her website (frogandfairy.com).

The store is in Village Shoppes of Madison, 12120 County Line Road, Suite B. Sampson chose Madison “because of its many young families and expanding population.” Sampson named the store for her grandchildren … “my own little Frog and Fairies.”

Frog & Fairy carries seasonally appropriate children’s clothing for boys and girls, sizes ‘preemie’ through 12. “We carry all brands to suit a wide variety of need, income and taste. Regardless of brand, everything is in exceptional condition and current in style,” she said.

Baby and nursery needs, toys, books, handcrafted bows and custom monogrammed pocket tees are available. Frog & Fairy carries casual and work-appropriate maternity tops, pants, skirts and dresses, sizes XS through XXL.

Her husband Doug is president and CEO of Deep Blue Concepts, a locally owned small business. Their children are Kyle, 30, and Kortnee Voigt, 27. “Our beautiful grandchildren are Lorelai, 3.5 years, Harrison, 2 and Georgia Rae, 7 months,” Georgia said.

Georgia’s hometown is San Diego, Calif. The family moved often with Doug’s Navy career. They chose to retire in Madison “because it offered a perfect combination of affordability, climate and social activities — and close to Doug’s alma mater, Auburn University,” she said.

Frog & Fairy is open Tuesday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday by appointment only.
