Ruth Naomi Ransom Fagan
(July 17, 1929 – September 29, 2013)

Ruth Fagan passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew James Ransom and Mary Cagle Ransom, seven sisters and two brothers. Andre’ George Fagan, her husband of 42 years died in 1994.
She is survived by two daughters and their families. Sally Rice (David), their daughter Carrie Rice Bruder (Johnny) and their four children Seth, Chloe, Cade and Cole. Jennifer Davis Harris, her son Jeremy Davis (Ashley) and their four children Isabella, River, Isaiah and Jaden. Jennifer’s daughter Whitney Harris Hillis (Ricky) and their three children Kaleb, Matthew and Olivia.
Ruth lived her entire life in Madison County. She graduated from Monrovia High School. She met Andre’ while he was stationed at Redstone Arsenal in the Army. They married in 1952 and although he was from Massachusetts, he loved the Huntsville area as much as his native wife. Ruth went to work outside the home when their daughters were older. She worked many years with Sears and ended her career when she retired from Redstone Arsenal in 1993 as secretary to the Director of Software Engineering Directorate. We love her dearly and will sorely miss her. A graveside service was held on Wednesday October 2 in Faith Memorial Gardens.
