Ruth lived her entire life in Madison County. She graduated from Monrovia High School. She met Andre’ while he was stationed at Redstone Arsenal in the Army. They married in 1952 and although he was from Massachusetts, he loved the Huntsville area as much as his native wife. Ruth went to work outside the home when their daughters were older.
