Just less than 1,000 square feet, the new home is located in an existing neighborhood in North Huntsville. Signalink also presented a $2,500 check to Habitat for Humanity.

“Signalink is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations like Habitat for Humanity that do tremendous work in the community,” Signalink owner, CEO and President Steve Lessmann said. “We encourage our employees to engage with local organizations through ‘Signalink Serves’ by volunteering their time and monetary donations.”

For this activity, Josh Langford was chairman of the Signalink Serves board. Signalink employees met the house’s future owner.

“Voluntary outreach is a mechanism that we’ve adopted to demonstrate our willingness to give back to our community and those in need through charitable entities,” Lessmann said.

Founded in 2006, Signalink is a veteran-owned, small business with core competencies in infrastructure, integration, interoperability, cyber security and software engineering. Their technical services relate to test, evaluation and operations of air, space, and missile defense systems.

“Our information technology and information assurance service also extends into industry and academia markets,” Lessmann said. Signalink Systems Integration, a division of Signalink, provides on-site manufacturing solutions to federal and industry customers.

Signalink has a field office in Colorado Springs, Colo. The company employs 34 people.

For the future, Signalink “will continue to leverage our expertise to further diversification into the commercial marketplace and expand our systems integration services into new Department of Defense business sectors,” Lessmann said.

In addition, the company will apply information assurance, enterprise information technology and software development experience “to effectively satisfy cyber-security requirements, related to Federal Information Security Management Act and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act,” he said.

A certified Apple software developer, Signalink will extend its software products into the mobile marketplace.

Signalink management includes vice president Ryan Albert, facility security officer Alice Lessmann and office manager Christa Sinyard.
