Students can figure math is fun at Math-A-Palooza

MADISON – Madison City Schools is sponsoring the first annual Madison City Math-A-Palooza, a district-wide competition that blends fun with mathematics.

James Clemens High School will host Math-A-Palooza on April 5 from 8:45 a.m. to the awards ceremony at noon.

Students in grades 3-6 can enter. Divisions are open for math team members or those students who don’t participate in a math team.

The competition is free. However, entrants can receive a T-shirt for a $10 donation.

Teachers sent registration and event information home with students on March 10. Parents should complete the registration form and return it (and $10 for the optional T-shirt) to school by March 14.

Activities will begin at 8:45 a.m. and conclude with an awards ceremony at 12 noon.
