Discovery artists commended in contests

MADISON – Student artists at Discovery Middle School recently won honors for their designs in contest competition.

Brook Heater earned first-place honors and Miska Blackman took second place in the Asian Pacific Heritage Contest. Rosie’s International Services Inc. sponsors the contest.

Ange Long was the grand-prize winner in the fourth annual Poison Prevention Art Contest. Rachel Lewis’ work ranked in third place. Heesun Yoon and Zachary Fontaine received honorable mentions.

Long’s art will advance to the national level of the contest.
