One of the signature, major events that Madison Chamber of Commerce presents will unfold with the Madison Business Expo & Kids Day on July 26.

The expo will fill the rooms, hallways and grounds at Hogan Family YMCA in Madison from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The YMCA’s address and home to the chamber is 130 Park Square Lane, just east of Hughes Road.

At the 22nd annual expo, owners of local mom-and-pop businesses and franchises alike will have booths set up to talk with visitors. The expo is free and offers fun for the entire family.

“Madison Chamber of Commerce members will be exhibiting at the expo, showcasing their products and services to the Madison community,” chamber executive director Susie Masotti said.

Individuals can ask questions to business owners and collect brochures and other free handouts. The booths will showcase banking and financial institutions, medical offices and fitness centers, eateries, home furnishings, building contractors, hair and beauty salons, crafts options, educational services and real estate agencies.

Several restaurants and food industry purveyors will attend and offer free samples to the crowd. Pizza and ice cream are perennial favorites for the youngsters.

“A unique element of the MCC Business Expo is entertaining the youngsters throughout the day with free activities, such as face painting, balloon art and stomp rockets,” Masotti said.

HEMSI will have an ambulance onsite, and Madison Fire and Rescue Department will bring a fire truck for kids to inspect. Madison Police Department’s SWAT unit and Mobile Command Post will give tours.

“Everyone’s favorite, inflatables” will be on the YMCA grounds, Masotti said. As long as they last, free hot dogs will be served to expo visitors.

Platinum sponsors are Madison Hospital, BB&T Bank, MarMac Real Estate, Monaco Pictures and Hogan Family YMCA. Gold sponsors are Allstate – The Lankford/Battle Agency Inc., Iberia Bank, Lee Company, Minuteman Press, “No’Ala Huntsville” and Redstone Federal Credit Union.
