Madison Medical I to expand physician offices near Madison Hospital

MADISON – Madison Medical I office building will open this month adjacent to Madison Hospital.

Triad Properties Corporation developed the property at 1041 Balch Road. Chapman Sisson Architects and Fite Building Company Inc. as contractor built the structure.

“The medical campus at Madison Hospital continues to grow, and this building is a great addition for us,” Madison Hospital President Mary Lynne Wright said. “We are pleased to have Triad on campus.”

The three-story building has 60,000 square feet and is located north of The Orthopedic Center.  Designed specifically for medical offices, Madison Medical I accommodates tolerances relating to certain medical equipment. “For instance, copper wiring was selected over aluminum wiring,” William R. Stroud, principal with Triad, said.

Each floor has two common area restrooms. Finally, LED lights were used for the interior lighting.

“With the continued growth of Madison Hospital, the need for office space in proximity to the hospital has become an issue,” Wright said. The Physicians’ Office Building has full occupancy, as does Progress Bank.

“Those physicians wanting a presence close to campus were really out of luck. With the new Triad facility, we now have the opportunity for more physicians to locate near us,” Wright said.

By locating near Madison Hospital, physicians have easy access to lab and imaging services and the emergency room. “Their patients can get immediate help or testing, if needed,” Wright said.

To-date, physicians with offices in Madison Medical I are Dr. Cramin Wiltz, prosthodontics; Dr. Precious Wiltz, general dentistry; Dr. Matt Hunt, general surgery; Dr. Doug Downey, general surgery; and Dr. Goscha Saliashvili, cardiology.

Open to all specialties, the building can accommodate practices such as family and internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, urology, obstetrics/gynecology and neurology. Triad Properties is allowing physician tenants to participate in ownership of the property.

Triad’s design intent was to mirror Madison Hospital’s aesthetic perspective, Stroud said. Triad used the identical color scheme that reflects the hospital brand.
