Marlene Vera Smith September 14, 1933 – October 12, 2014

Marlene Vera Smith, 81, of Madison, Alabama passed away at her home surrounded by her loving and devoted husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Ward and Phyllis Lawrence Ward and son, Franklin D. Smith, formally of Citrus Heights.
Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Virgil Franklin Smith of Madison, AL, grandson, Aaron F. Smith of Citrus Heights, CA, great – daughter-in-law, Rachel Smith of Citrus Heights, daughter-in-law, Chris Smith of Fair Oaks, CA, sister, Dorothy Simpson of the County of Essex, England; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens , 700 Winchester Road, NE, Huntsville, AL 35811.
Arrangements entrusted to Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd. NE, Huntsville, AL 35811.
