MADISON – Children’s Theatre of Madison will help needy children during its production of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

At the Nov. 14 show at 6 p.m., guests who donate an unwrapped toy for a Salvation Army Angel Tree will be admitted free. In addition, all ticket proceeds will be donated to The Salvation Army. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Other show times are Nov. 15 at 1 and 5 p.m. Children’s Theatre of Madison is located at 102 Tribble Drive in Madison.

The Christmas show is the group’s fifth production. “With each performance, we add a new theatrical component,” owner Dr. Brenda Harper said. “For Christmas, we always choose a holiday-themed play. Last year we did a ‘Christmas Wizard of Oz.'”

“‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ is a classic. Several performers have solos, and all have singing parts. We have been truly blessed with the amazing talent from each child,” Harper said.

In the play, Izzy the Mouse takes a great adventure to the North Pole and meets Santa’s Elves, Rosie the Reindeer and the Abominable Snowman. Izzy and Rosie help Santa deliver his gifts just in time.

Lead actors are Brian Curry and Chris Ahlf (Izzy the Mouse), Lauren Lee (Rosie), Nick Curry and Rylee Richardson (Mr. & Mrs. Claus), Jesse Giles (Abominable Snowman) and Greyston Harper (Louie).

The Moore family is portrayed by Gabby Schulte (Clara, Yule), Paulo Almodovar (Willy, Peppermint), Kelly Anne Giles (Bo, Elf), Rylee Richardson (Mother), Matthew Dodd (Clement), Marc Cochran (Narrator), Drayden Velliquette (Engineer Conductor, Elf) and Norah Nance (Knuckles).

Portraying the reindeer are Jessica Cochran, Ellie Martin and Maggie Lovett. The broken toys are Norah Nance, William Dodd and Ethan Martin.

Harper and Brian Curry are directors. Junior directors are Gabby Schultz and Greyston Harper. Other staff includes theatre director Holly Trostel and prop assistants Pam Giles, Katie Lott, Marilyn Rodriguez and Yolanda Lovett.
