Fitness Arts Center puts Irish slant to Nutcracker show

Fitness Arts Center will present “The Irish Nutcracker” at James Clemens High School on Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. (CONTRIBUTED)

MADISON – Fitness Arts Center will present “The Irish Nutcracker” in the James Clemens High School auditorium on Dec. 14.

Starting at 3 p.m., this production features dancers who are six years old through adults. Claire and the Nutcracker will explore ‘Tir na nog’ (‘Land of Youth’ in Irish folklore) with their new Irish friends.

The center’s Irish twist on the classic show will feature authentic step dancing and Celtic music. Tickets are $15 and available online at fitnessartscenter.com.
