MADISON – A tour of Heritage Plantation homes in their splendid finery for Christmas will benefit the James Clemens High School Choir.

The tour on Dec. 7 will run from 2 to 5 p.m.

“Some residents in Heritage Plantation are sharing their decorated homes as a fundraiser for the choir,” spokesperson Pat Glenn said. “If you have not heard the James Clemens Choir and Band, you have missed a real treat.”

Tickets will be available at the Carriage House in Heritage Plantation at 100 Bluff Spring Drive. Visitors also can get a map to the homes on tour and information about each house.

The homes have different themes. “Two of the owners have served in the military and have beautiful things from their past duty stations,” Glenn said. “Two of the homes have been featured in ‘Madison Living’ magazine (Facebook/Madison Living).”

Another home on the Heritage Plantation tour belongs to a professional designer. “One of the homeowners has made many of the decorations in her home,” Glenn said.

In Alabama on a break before his work on Christmas Eve, Santa Claus will visit the Heritage Plantation Carriage House and be available to talk with all children during the tour. “We encourage people to bring their cameras for photos with Santa at no charge,” Glenn said.

Heritage Plantation is located off County Line Road, just north of Mill Road.

Stuart Tankesley directs the James Clemens Choir and assists director Keith Anderson with the James Clemens marching and concert bands.
