MADISON – The Asperger Syndrome S.E.A. Beyond Tomorrow (Support, Educate, Advocate) center has moved to a new location.AS-S.E.A. Beyond Tomorrow’s new address is 111 Research Blvd., Building 1040, Suite 160 in Madison.

“We have expanded our services to include students with learning differences who are home-schooled,” director Angela Collier said. “We still have after-school programs but realize the needs of home-school parents.”

In addition, the center offers program for young adults/adults. “There is a significant need. The statistics now are 1:67 in Alabama. However, in the north Alabama area, the stats are somewhere around 1:52,” Collier said.

The center offers “an alternative to situations where students often experience difficulties in large middle and high school settings,” Collier said. “People with Asperger Syndrome are very capable; however, they need smaller group experience and materials presented in different formats.”
