MADISON – Located just south of downtown, Red Fish Teriyaki Asian Express is pleasing customers with deliciously fresh food, always served with a smile.

Red Fish is locally owned in a partnership between Bin Huang Jiang and Si Xi Huang. The partners previously operated restaurants in Sahu and Novi, Japan.

Jiang and Huang believe customers enjoy visits to Red Fish because “we have good service, and the food is good. The menu consists of food that is commonly found in the larger, chain Asian restaurants.”

Some popular orders are chicken teriyaki, California rolls, tiger rolls, General Tso Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken. Kei Ieong, a server at Red Fish, said chicken teriyaki with lo mein is his personal favorite.

Appetizers include egg rolls, Crab Rangoon, steamed dumpling, chicken wings, fried shrimp and edamame. Egg drop or hot and sour soups are served piping hot with crunchy noodles.

The menu has about 20 Chinese entrees. Customers can order cashew chicken, moo goo gai pan and sweet and sour chicken with broccoli, red carrots, zucchini and mushrooms. Happy Family combines chicken, beef, shrimp and crab with all vegetables.

Red Fish also serves sushi, including spicy tuna, salmon, Philadelphia and avocado cucumber rolls. Green Dragon Roll blends crab, eel and avocado on top. The Tiger Roll has crab, shrimp and spicy tuna.

Flavorful teriyaki dishes can include the customer’s choice of vegetables. Teriyaki meats include chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu, steak or a combo. A Bento Box with any meat includes four-piece California roll, appetizer and salad.

Red Fish’s address is 3764 Sullivan St., Suite C. Jiang and Huang chose to open their restaurant in Madison primarily “as a test to see basically if our cooking was good, and it worked.” They also like the proximity to their Madison home.

Red Fish is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. They have a convenient drive-through window and will accept call-in orders.
