Linda Jane Luster December 31, 1945 – March 16, 2015

Linda Jane Luster, 69, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Luster was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Ora Ivey Credille, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Ms. Luster is survived by her daughter, DeShannon Smithey and her husband Howard of New Market, AL; 2 sons, Shane Luster and his wife Shonie of Decatur, AL, and Ricky Luster and his wife Michelle of Athens, AL; 2 sisters, Ann Lang and her husband Charles of Madison, AL and Joyce Morris of Huntsville, AL; 1 brother, Dale Grimes and his wife Joyce of Fayetteville, TN; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other friends and relatives.

Linda was a big reader and loved making crafts. She also was an avid gardener and spent almost every day in the yard or garden. She liked going to the Senior Center and being involved in activities there. She loved her grandkids and the time she spent with them. Her church and spending time there was most important to Linda and she was a faithful member of Madison International Baptist Church for many years. Linda Luster was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many!

Visitation was held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. The funeral service was conducted by Pastor Howard Lockwood on Friday, March 20, 2015 commencing at 12:00 Noon in Valhalla’s Chapel. The interment followed at Faith Memorial Park in Madison.
