HUNTSVILLE – Members of the Huntsville Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) hosted an Easter party at the Floyd E. ‘Tut’ Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville.

DAR members served punch and cookies, entertained with their rendition of “Here Comes Peter Cottontail” and passed out Easter candy to the veterans on March 31. The Easter bunny made a special delivery of chocolate bunnies to the three female veterans who are residents.

Founded in 1890, the Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America’s future through better education for children. Headquarters are in Washington D.C.
