Chamber Chat: Taste the Spirit of Madison

Saturday June 13 the Madison Chamber of Commerce presents Taste the Spirit of Madison, a summertime day and evening celebration of food, family and fun!

It all starts at 11 a.m. with food trucks, bazaar booths, live music, a backyard BBQ competition and a pie and preserves contest.  Admission is free until 6 p.m.  Outside during the day, live entertainment will be featured from live bands Groove and Falcon Punch, and there will be a chance to purchase and enjoy a great variety of food truck cuisine. Insanity Complex will offer discounted rates on its many activities and amenities, including the skate park, batting cages, mini golf and more.

In the evening from 6-9 p.m., it’s the summer’s premiere food-tasting event, Bites & Brews, with food and craft beer featuring some of the area’s best restaurants and local breweries.

Bites & Brews will also offer a chance to bid on auction items, a raffle for door prizes and live music by local favorite Big Daddy Kingfish.

Fees/Admission:

Free from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Bites & Brews Admission (6-9 p.m.):

$15 individual tickets

$25 per couple
Ages 5 and under are free
Ages 6-12 just $10

A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the art department at James Clemens High School and the culinary department at Bob Jones High School.

Tickets are also available for purchase at the following locations: IBERIABANK, Grogan Jewelers at Bridge Street Town Center, First Commercial Bank on Hughes Road, Insanity Complex, Progress Bank on Highway 72, Weston Ranch Apartment Homes, Madison Hospital and the Madison Chamber of Commerce inside the Hogan Family YMCA.
