Athlete of the Week

MADISON – Josh Beck may need a sports agent soon to arrange and schedule all of his game commitments and practices.

Josh is interested in practically all sports in which he has an option to participate. During baseball season, he covers action at first base. For soccer games, spectators will see Josh completing plays for both offense and defense.

This month, Josh will start shooting hoops on the hardwood in basketball. In addition, he is interested in learning to play lacrosse.

However, flag football ranks as first priority for sports. He handles the calls as quarterback, center and wide receiver. Josh chose football as his favorite game because he likes to go out for long passes and catch the ball, preferably while diving for it.

Josh is in second grade at St. John the Baptist Catholic School. His parents are John and Karin Beck. His dad works for the Department of Defense. His mom works as a physical therapist at Nesin Therapy Services P.C.

Josh has one brother, Andrew Beck, who is in fourth grade at St. John’s.
