Training classes for rape aggression defense (RAD) start on Jan. 25. CONTRIBUTED

MADISON – Madison Police Department is sponsoring training for Rape Aggression Defense (RAD).

Classes will start on Jan. 25 and run through Jan. 29. Participants will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Madison Police Training Center, 100 Hughes Road.

Classes are free and open to women from 12 years old and older. Class size is limited 20 people.

Participants will complete a nine-hour basic course of instruction and move to advance training and weapons defense.
