MADISON – Just in time for spring planting, members of Bob Jones High School football team are selling landscaping mulch by delivery or pickup.

“The football program here at Bob Jones has partnered with a local supplier of hardwood mulch to sell and spread the mulch to customers,” Coach Kenneth Bourque said. “All proceeds will go directly to the player fees for the program.”

The hardwood, sifted mulch is sold in one cubic yard bulk. Available colors are natural, brown or black. Price is $50 per yard delivered. The cubic yard will be delivered and spread for $65.

“If you want to pick it up yourself, the price is $35 per yard, Bourque said. Email BJHSMulch@gmail.com with any questions, to order the mulch or find out about delivery scheduling.

With this mulch fundraiser, “some of our less fortunate members of the community are now able to raise their hand to work instead of put their hand out for donations,” Bourque said. “The community has responded beyond our expectations.”

“We would like to let the entire Madison community know that we can beautify their home, and they can help a young man pay his own way toward a successful football season,” Bourque said.
