MADISON – One of Madison Chamber of Commerce’s most popular events, “Taste the Spirit of Madison” will open at 10 a.m. on June 4 at Insanity Complex.

In 2015, more than 10,000 people attended this family-fun event.

Daytime, free activities run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Local businesses will showcase their products and services in bazaar booths.

“Enjoy live music from Cadillac Sparrow and Big Daddy Kingfish while you browse,” Events and Marketing Coordinator Sherry Bruckner said. “Try your hand at the dunk tank to raise money for local charities.”

Food trucks on-site will be Rollin Lobstah, I Love Bacon, Crave Heat, O’Taste & See BBQ, Tha Food Truck, Brain Freeze Ice Cream, Delightful Desserts and Ice Works Shaved Ice.

“Kids will love the Backyard Olympics with a bean bag toss and other family games,” Bruckner said. “Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the live entertainment while they play.”

From 6 to 10 p.m., the “Bites & Brews” segment of “Taste the Spirit of Madison” will offer food and potent potables from trendy new restaurants and breweries, along with perennial local favorites. Presenting sponsor is Publix.

Participating eateries are Cork & Crust Pizzeria & Wine Bar, Little Libby’s Catfish & Diner, Taziki’s, Ted’s BBQ, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Sady’s Bistro, Daylight Donuts, The Juicery, Marco’s Pizza, Kroger, El Omeca Mexican Restaurant, Sallie’s Whistle Stop Sweet Shop, Costco, IHOP, Rick’s BBQ, I Love Juice Bar, Chick-fil-A, Beef Jerky Outlet, Buena Vista Mexican Cantina, Four Leaves Asian Restaurant, Texas Road House, Mangia Italian Restaurant, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches and Sun Drop Bottling Company.

Supreme Beverage and Blue Pants Brewery will host the ‘brews’ portion of the event. “Enjoy live entertainment by DJ Ozone while you sample their craft brews,” Bruckner said.

Tickets for Bites and Brews are $20 for adults, $10 for six- through 12-year-olds and free for five-year-olds and younger. To buy tickets, visit madisonALchamber.com.
