MADISON – National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) leaders and their red-white-and-blue bus named “Rosie” will roll through Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham and Huntsville/Madison.
These stops are part of a multi-state campaign tour of 11 swing states that began in the Midwest. The mission of the “NFRW Destination: White House” tour is to elect a Republican president by registering Republican-leaning women to vote and rallying federation clubs and communities across the country.
The federation president, Carrie Almond, will be on board when “Rosie” stops in Madison on Sept. 21 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Best Western Plus, 9035 Madison Boulevard. Individuals are encouraged to come out to meet Carrie, get energized and have photographs made in front of “Rosie.”
This event is open to the public and parking is free.
Afterward, individuals can join the Republican Women of Madison for their luncheon meeting. Guest speaker will be Madison County Sheriff Blake Dorning.
The social time begins at 11 a.m. and the luncheon/meeting will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The all-inclusive meal is $15, payable by cash or check. To RSVP, email repwomenmadison@gmail.com or call Susan Pierce at 256-541-4186. Men are welcome to attend.
Founded in 1938, the National Federation of Republican Women is the largest and most influential Republican women’s group in the nation. The federation represents the party that made it possible for women to vote in government.
