MADISON – Madison police officers are attempting to locate Jose Guadalupe Pena of Huntsville as a suspect in an armed robbery at Eva Bank.
Madison Police Department received a robbery-in-progress call from Eva Bank at 3810 Sullivan St. on Sept. 23 at 3:10 p.m. Employees reported a Hispanic male with a handgun entered the bank and demanded money.
The male then fled with an undetermined amount of cash. Officers and detectives responded and began canvassing the area and local businesses for investigative information.
Detectives and officers located video surveillance from the business and have identified 18-year-old Jose Guadalupe Pena of Huntsville as a suspect. Detectives attempted to locate Pena for questioning but were unsuccessful.
The offender was identified as a Hispanic male in his early 20s. His height is 5 feet, 4 inches, and he weighs about 130 pounds. The suspect was wearing a red-and-white plaid shirt, blue jeans and a military style beanie cap.
Pena should be considered armed and dangerous, according to a police spokesperson. Any and all information on his whereabouts should be relayed to the Madison Police Department, Investigative Division at 256-772-6274.
