Taste of the Holidays set for Nov. 5

MADISON – The Women’s Ministry at Asbury United Methodist Church will host the third annual Taste of the Holidays on Nov. 5.
This community-wide kick-off event for the holiday season will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Taste of the Holidays will be held in the Five Points building at the southwest corner of Hughes and Gillespie roads. Women of all ages are welcome.
“We will have holiday shopping for every budget. It will include fun gifts for teachers, holiday decorations and local art,” spokesperson Rachel Cobb said. “We’re very excited about this event and can’t wait to welcome the holiday season with all the other women in Madison.”
Shoppers can browse merchandise from Piper and Leaf Tea and 1818 Farms Shae Cremes, along with jewelry, scarves and many more items. Free gift wrapping will be available for purchased items.
In addition to shopping, shoppers can sample delicious, homemade foods for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. This tasting will be open from 10 a.m. to noon.
“We will provide a recipe book to take home. As you go through and taste all the different foods, hopefully you will find some new dishes to add to your own holiday meal,” Cobb said.
All guests can enter a drawing for a free holiday dinner for eight people. “Bring in canned food donations and get an extra chance,” Cobb said. “This dinner will be in the form of a Cracker Barrel gift card that can be used however the winner decides.”
A portion of the event proceeds will benefit Asbury local and global mission partners. For more information, visit wearasbury.com/events.
