Knights of Columbus honored

MADISON – Knights of Columbus at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church have received an award for having the most outstanding assembly.
Officers of the Father Patrick J. Murphy Assembly, No. 2420 of the Knights of Columbus at St. John received the Bishop Stanley Ott Award for “Most Outstanding Assembly – 2016” in Bienville Province.
The province includes all 4th Degree assemblies in Alabama and four neighboring states.
Ott, a priest for 41 years and bishop for 16, served as Bishop of Baton Rouge from 1983 until his death in 1992.
The assembly is based at St. John at 1057 Hughes Road.
