MADISON – Reid Staples likes the smell of damp grass on the field and sunshine in his eyes because that combination means he is on the soccer field.

“I love to play football and basketball for fun, but the sport I officially play is soccer,” Reid said.

Reid attends Mill Creek Elementary School, where he is in third grade. His brother Ryder attends pre-school at Mill Creek. Reid and his family moved to Madison in 2013 for his father, Benjamin W. Staples, to accept a new position with AT&T.
