Runners to compete in Jetsetter 5K 2017

MADISON – The Jetsetter 5K 2017 and 1 Mile Run will be held at James Clemens High School on May 13.

The 5K run will start at 8 a.m. with a fee of $25. The 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 9 a.m., and the fee is $15. Each contestant will receive a T-shirt.

The Jetsetter 5K will raise funds for James Clemens Band. “Join in the fun while supporting an award-winning band,” band spokesperson Amy Gormley said. “The James Clemens High School Band Boosters invite the community to the second annual 5K and run.”

Race proceeds will help in building the James Clemens Band program with purchases of instruments and equipment as the band continues to grow.

Sponsors include PeopleTec, Alabama Pediatric Dental Associates, Redstone Federal Credit Union, Southeastern Skin Cancer & Dermatology, Graphic Publishing Inc., 1st Place Athletics, Signarama and Edward Jones Investments.
