Town Madison sets construction for first 280 apartments

MADISON – Tynes Development Corporation has joined the Town Madison team with plans to build 280 luxury apartments, the first step in creating a vibrant, mixed-use development.

On May 18, Louis Breland, developer for Town Madison, announced that Tynes and a Harbert-related partnership (B&J LLC) have entered a joint venture agreement with Fuqua Development and Breland Companies. These groups will develop 1,000 apartment units at Town Madison.

Apartment construction will start in fall 2017 and require 14 months to build the first 280 units.

These units at Town Madison will be located within the mixed-use retail portion and adjacent to multiple dining, shopping and entertainment options. The four-story apartment project will have elevators and top-end amenities. A mixture of one-, two- and three-bedroom units, some apartments will have carriage houses with garage units available.

Future phases of apartments soon will follow on other sites within the 530-acre development.

Louis Breland is excited that a firm of Tynes Development Corporation’s caliber selected Town Madison for this multifamily development. “We looked around the country to find the best multifamily partner for Town Madison, and Ingram Tynes and his team stood out as the best,” Breland said.

“We really like the vision for Town Madison and believe this is an incredible site to develop the mixed-use type of project our residents are looking for,” Ingram Tynes said. “Jeff Fuqua has a proven track record for creating very successful live-work-and-play walkable developments that feature options our tenants want.”

“We are also excited to be a part of the City of Madison. Madison is truly a city on the rise with incredible schools, parks and recreation facilities with a quality of life that places it as one of the premier communities in the Southeast,” Tynes said.

Town Madison will feature more than 1,000,000 square feet of new retail, restaurants and entertainment venues. In addition, 700,000 square feet of office space and 700 new hotel rooms will open. Construction of I-565’s new interchange is underway and slated for completion in 2018.
