Dance invigorates, strengthens Abigail Fleming

MADISON – Irish Step dancing appeals to Abigail Fleming for several reasons.

“As an Irish dancer, I get to learn many fun and unique tricks, techniques and dance methods. Coming to dance is definitely the highlight of my week,” Abigail said.

“No matter what is going on, I always feel better when I’m dancing,” Abigail said. “The environment at Fitness Arts Center is so amazing and supportive.”

In addition, dance has given her “a great opportunity to make many close friends. I don’t know what I’d do without the girls in my classes,” she said.

Abigail has been studying Irish Step dance for seven years and looks forward to discovering more lessons during the next few years. As a dancer, she has reached the Preliminary Championship level with Fitness Arts Center.

A ninth-grader, Abigail attends Calvary Baptist Academy and participates with the youth group. Her younger brothers Jeremy and Justin are in the fourth and sixth grade in home school. “My parents, Craig and Laura, work at the Missile Defense Agency and the U.S. Postal Service, respectively,” Abigail said.

“I’ve been in the Madison area since I was born. My parents moved here for my dad’s job,” she said.
