Bodine named MVP in All Stars Game

MADISON – Garrett Bodine devotes his skills to baseball because he likes the challenge of the game.

Bodine plays centerfield for the baseball team at Sparkman High School. He will be a senior at Sparkman when the 2017-2018 school year starts.

His agility and power on the diamond led to Bodine’s selection for the North-South All Stars Game. He won the honor of Most Valuable Player for the North team.

“I have two sisters named Brooke and Kailey. Kailey is in school at the University of Alabama, and Brooke graduated from there,” Garrett said.

“My mother Angie is a teacher at Harvest Elementary School. My father Scott is an inspector general on Redstone Arsenal,” he said.

The Bodine family moved to Harvest when Garrett was five years old. They relocated “because my dad got stationed here when he was in the U.S. Army,” Garrett said.
