MCS’ ‘Things to Know’ list answers back-to-school questions

MADISON – Before the morning of Aug. 7 when school resumes, students in Madison City Schools and their parents will ask each other many questions. Is your school holding an open house? What supplies do you need for second grade? How much does lunch cost? Can I take my asthma inhaler? When does the bus get here?

“Answers to these and other questions can be found in the ‘Things To Know’ link. It doesn’t cover everything, but it includes the basics,” MCS Public Relations Manager John Peck said.

Hoping to inform student families in advance, MCS staff members have compiled “Some Things to Know For The MCS 2017-18 School Start,” a link available on the MCS home page. (madisoncity.k12.al.us)

The first day of school is Aug. 7. The last day of the school year will May 24, 2018. The complete school year calendar that lists holidays, breaks and weather days is available by clicking the “Calendar” tab on the home page.
