Girl Scouts to register Aug. 17

MADISON – The time has arrived for Girl Scouts to sign up for the new scouting season.

Registration and an informational meeting for girls and parents will be held on Aug. 17 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 980 Hughes Road in the Hope Building’s basement.

Girls in kindergarten and first grade can sign up at 5:30 p.m. For more information, contact Beth Crocker by calling 256-724-2622 or email betty82402@gmail.com.

Girls in second grade and older will register at 6:45 p.m. For more information about second- and third-graders, contact Cierra Sather-Jennings by calling 612-695-1164 or email cierra.sather@gmail.com.

For more information about fourth-graders and older, contact Dusty Wayne by calling 256-280-7260 or email pchefdusty@hotmail.com.

Activities for the girls will be available while the parents sit in the informational meeting, spokesperson Staci Krupp said.
