PROJECTXYZ earns U.S. Chamber’s ‘Women-Owned Business Achievement Award’

HUNTSVILLE – PROJECTXYZ Inc. has received the 2017 “Women-Owned Business Achievement Award” from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Company officials with PROJECTXYZ accepted their award during the U.S. chamber’s annual “Dream Big – Small Business of the Year Award Celebration,” presented by MetLife. The Dream Big celebration was part of the 2017 Small Business Summit at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 10-13.

PROJECTXYZ is a technical solutions company using its expertise to solve problems and deliver results for federal and commercial customers at various locations throughout the United States. Larry Lewis serves as PROJECTXYZ President.

“We at PROJECTXYZ are blessed and honored to be recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,” PROJECTXYZ CEO Kim Lewis said. “The Women-Owned Business Achievement Award shows the strength of women-owned small business, and we want to thank the chamber for supporting us.”

“We look forward to working with the U.S. Chamber and the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce on strengthening the growth of small businesses,” Lewis said.

Lewis graduated with the Class of 1991 from Bob Jones High School. She was selected as a member of Bob Jones Hall of Fame.

A panel of judges screened 18 finalists to select the company to receive of the five Business Achievement Awards and the one Dream Big – Small Business of the Year Award. Online public voting determined the winner of the Community Excellence Award.

“Small business owners are the backbone of our nation, exemplifying the American Dream by working hard, taking risks and helping strengthen their communities and local economies,” U.S. Chamber President/CEO Thomas J. Donohue said.

“The Dream Big Award winners have gone above and beyond to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship, and we are proud to recognize these tremendous small businesses for all of their achievements,” Donahue said.

At the summit, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce also presented the “Emerging Business Achievement Award,” “Community Excellence Award,” “Green/Sustainable Business Achievement Award,” “Minority-Owned Business Achievement Award” and “Veteran-Owned Business Achievement Award.”
