Madison County Sheriff’s Office announces arrest in Wednesday driveway robbery

HAZEL GREEN — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office announced this morning that they have arrested a man in connection with a robbery in Hazel Green that occurred Wednesday afternoon.

MCSO said Trenton Marquis Logan, 27, has been booked into the Madison County Jail on a $15,000 bond. He is being charged with Robbery in the third degree.

Logan is accused of robbing an elderly woman in her driveway. The woman reportedly lives in a subdivision near Joe Quick Road in Hazel Green. Authorities believe Logan may have followed the woman home after she had been out shopping. WHNT reported that investigators are working to examine the victim’s course while she was shopping, as well as checking surveillance from local businesses.

According to inmate records from Madison County Jail, Logan has a history of robbery-related arrests. Records show that he has previously been arrested and booked into the county jail twice, both times with robbery charges as well.

The first charge was also for Robbery in the third degree, further described as “purse snatching, theft with use of force.” This incident was addressed by Huntsville International Airport Police Department. A later incident addressed by the Huntsville Police Department shows the same descriptor, but Logan was charged that time with Robbery in the second degree.
