Bob Jones Dominates All-State Volleyball Team

MADISON- The Bob Jones volleyball team, which was runner-up in the Class 7-A State Tournament, placed three players on the Class 7-A All-State Volleyball Team.

The Patriots on the elite team are Kiara Hill, Sr., Emma Jarrett, Sr., and Juanita Monteiro-Pai, Jr. They were joined on the selections by Sparkman junior Jasmine Brooks.

In Class 5-A, Madison Academy was represented on the squad by senior Erin Eisenhart.

“It’s an awesome feeling to be named to the elite squad and is rewarding to see all of my hard work paid off in this way,” said Jarrett, who led the team with 473 kills while having 60 aces, 47 blocks, and 254 digs during the team’s 37-11 campaign. “I worked hard during the off-season on my passing. I also worked many hours on my game with the help of Coach (April) Marsh and my teammates.”

Jarrett signed to play volleyball at UAH.

Monterio-Pai, a junior for the Patriots, was named to the squad as an athlete. She was second on the team in kills (349), led the team in aces (94) and digs (386). Hill played in just 107 appearances while posting 190 kills and led the team with 99 blocks.

Brooks was a near one-person team for the Lady Senators as the junior led the team (35-17) with 480 kills, 48 aces and 340 digs.

Individual stats were unavailable for Eisenhart who led the Lady Mustangs to a 32-21 season record.
