Bob Jones Sweeps Redcoat Invitational Track Meet

MADISON- Bob Jones won its own Redcoat Invitational Track Meet for the second year in a row by sweeping both the boys and girls division in the 18-team event.

The final team results showed Bob Jones on top in girls with 126 points, followed by James Clemens in second with 124, No. 10 Sparkman with 32 and No. 11 Madison Academy which scored 21. In boys, the Patriots were No. 1 with 120, James Clemens third with 76.5 points, Sparkman fourth at 75.5 and Madison Academy No. 6 with 49 points.

In boys, the big winners were Matt Weaver of Bob Jones who won both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles and teammate Shafi Muhammad who took top honors in both the 400 and 800-meter sprints. In girls, Kyla Diei had top three places in both the discus and shot put for the Lady Patriots and Audriana Blakely of James Clemens who posted runner-up spots in both the long jump and 100-meter hurdles.
