Police investigating overnight shooting in Skyline Acres, one person dead

MADISON – Madison Police are investigation an overnight shooting that left one person dead and sent another to the hospital.

MPD Captain John Stringer said officers responded to an emergency 911 call at an house on Skyline Road shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Skyline Road is in the Skyline Acres subdivision along Slaughter Road, near Madison Pike.

“Officers discovered two victims inside the residence. One victim was transported to the Huntsville Hospital Emergency Department and the other was deceased,” Stringer said.

No suspects have been arrested, but Stringer said there are some persons of interest. “Detectives and crime scene personnel are currently working this investigation,” he said.
