Madison Police charge man with capital murder for Monday’s early morning homicide

MADISON – The Madison Police have made an arrest for capital murder, attempted murder, and burglary in the first degree. 

Hunter Mitchell Moore of Huntsville was arrested in connection to yesterday’s homicide investigation at Skyline Acres.

MPD Captain John Stringer said officers responded to an emergency 911 call at an house on Skyline Road shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Skyline Road is in the Skyline Acres subdivision along Slaughter Road, near Madison Pike.

“Officers discovered two victims inside the residence. One victim was transported to the Huntsville Hospital Emergency Department and the other was deceased,” Stringer said.

The police identified the deceased victim as Robert Luke Pratt.

Moore was arrested on Monday and booked into the Madison County Jail. He is currently being held without bond for the charge of capital murder. The bond set for attempted murder is $60,000.00 and the bond for burglary in the first degree is $60,000.00.
