Chamber offers health insurance to members

MADISON – Members of Madison Chamber of Commerce can take advantage of an important, new feature that could lead to a healthier life of employees.

The Madison chamber has entered a partnership with Iron ReHealth and Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama to offer a health, dental and vision benefit program exclusively for members.

This program uses the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama network and helps members reduce health benefit costs by providing a unique, specialized program tailored to small and mid-sized businesses. The program emphasizes wellness, cost-saving education and concierge-level service.

The health program has some requirements to join:

* The company must be a member of Madison Chamber of Commerce.

* Employees must be working full time (at least 30 hours per week).

* The company must have two or more employees to apply.

* Independent contractors are not eligible.

However, a company is not required to be a chamber member to receive a quote. Individuals can review the rates, and the software will verify membership during application for benefits.

For details about receiving a quote, call 334-245-1099 or email info@ironrehealth.com.

In other activities, the chamber will present the 2019 Business Expo & Kids Day on July 27. The expo will be staged at Hogan Family YMCA from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Our theme this year is ‘Madison Depot 1869’ in honor of our city’s 150th birthday,” chamber director Pam Honeycutt said. “We will have 60-plus booths representing varied area businesses at this chamber signature event.”

Honeycutt encourages guests to visit each booth and learn more about the varied and helpful goods and services that Madison area businesses offer. LifeSouth’s Bloodmobile will be on-site at the expo, along with the Madison Hospital Mobile Unit with free health screenings.

Madison Chamber of Commerce’s address is 103 Spenryn Drive, Suite 100, in Madison. For more information, call 256-325-8317, email director@madisonalchamber.com or visit madisonalchamber.com or Facebook/Madison Chamber of Commerce.
