Urgent Team Walk-In Urgent Care opens on Hughes Road

MADISON – The Urgent Team center is one of first businesses to open in auxiliary buildings of Madison Commons at 300 Hughes Road. Publix supermarket anchors this development.

Urgent Team Walk-In Urgent Care opened on Aug. 19. This clinic is the fifth center that Urgent Team runs in Alabama. Other sites serve Huntsville, Decatur, Muscle Shoals and Florence.

“As we continue our expansion in Alabama, we are very pleased to now offer walk-in healthcare in Madison,” Ellis Harris said. Harris works as Division Vice President with Urgent Team.

“We look forward to serving the residents of Madison. We remain committed to providing high quality, affordable and convenient medical care,” Harris said.

Open seven days a week, the Madison location provides treatment for injuries, illnesses and various conditions:

* Asthma and allergies, flu, colds and viral illnesses.

* Ear and eye injuries, stitches for cuts and related injuries.

* Skin conditions, including burns.

* Bites, stings and allergic reactions.

* Broken bones, along with muscle sprains and strains.

* Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting; urinary tract infections.

* Immunizations and vaccinations; occupational health services; and school, sports, wellness and DOT physicals.

The healthcare team’s lead in Madison is nurse practitioner Leigh Zollinger. With more than 26 years of nursing experience, Zollinger most recently served as nurse practitioner at MedExpress Urgent Care in Beech Grove, Ind. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

Urgent Team in Madison is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Walk-ins patients are welcome.

For added convenience, patients can schedule a same-day or next-day appointment online with their “Hold My Spot” software. The clinic accepts most insurance plans, including TRICARE and Veterans Administration, Medicare and Medicaid, along with cash and credit cards.
