Rainbow principal turns rapper for “kiss a pig” video

MADISON – Rainbow Elementary School principal Brian Givens may have a new career waiting on him….as “The Fresh Prince-ipal”. He put his def rapping skills to good use this week with the help of some young dj’s and his backup fly crew — three pigs named Peanut, Dexter and Stevie.

In a rap video released this week, Givens issues a challenge to his students. He is promising to supply plenty of silly string, slime and fun on Nov. 8 if the students raise $15,000 for playground upgrades. He will also pucker-up and kiss a pig if they reach their goal. And, one student will get to be principal for a day.

Will Givens have to kiss a pig? Time will tell, but if the kids at Rainbow have their way he better be ready to smooch it up on Nov. 8.

Givens’ video has already become a hit among the students, several even helped make it. The credits at the end lists Mikhail Jackson as “Call him Steph Curry”, Tanner Thacker as “Skills to Pay the Bills”, Abby Grider as “Explorer Extraordinaire” and Peyton Davis as “Too Cool for School.”
