Chamber Color Run postponed due to coronavirus
MADISON – The Madison Chamber of Commerce had planned to host their first-ever color run on March 21, but like many other events it too has been postponed.
The race was promoted to be a huge community event, including a certified 5K starting and a one-mile fun run through the streets of historic downtown Madison. In addition to the race, food trucks and other fun activities were planned.
Merrill Wright with the Madison Chamber said the postponement is due to the rapid concerns regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus). “We understand this is a big event for the city of Madison and the surrounding areas, but we want to ensure our community stays safe,” she said.
At this time, all current runners who are registered will stayed registered and the Chamber will leave registration open. They will continue to keep everyone updated via email and social media.
“We hope you understand our decision and if you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call or email,” Wright added.
