Slowdown in new COVID-19 cases within Madison County continues
MADISON COUNTY – New coronavirus cases in Madison County seem to continue its slowdown in growth, with just one new case since yesterday evening’s update and two new cases within the past 24 hours. Madison County has 188 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and three confirmed deaths. Limestone County has 37 cases and no deaths.
There are a total of 3,803 cases of COVID-19 in Alabama, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) as of Monday, April 14, at 9 a.m. There are currently 582,594 cases of COVID-19 nationwide, with 23,649 deaths and 44,308 recovered, according to Johns Hopkins University.
Of 103 deaths reported statewide, 62 have been confirmed as due to the virus across the state by the ADPH. The department also reports 457 total hospitalizations due to COVID-19.
