#madisonalstrong: Madison Chamber raising funds to feed those on the frontline

For every $15 someone contributes they receive a #madisonalstrong shirt

MADISON – The staff at the Madison Chamber of Commerce wanted to do something special to help those on the frontlines of the current COVID-19 crisis. So, they created a fundraiser to feed healthcare professionals, police department, fire department and HEMSI staff in the Madison community.

According to Chamber Member Relations Manager Merrill Wright, the call for help was met with overwhelming success. “Our original goal was $600 and we passed that within the first couple of days, and now we have raised it to $1,500,” she said.

Wright added that for every $15 someone contributes to help feed the frontline, they receive a #madisonalstrong shirt. “We thought this would be a great way for the community to help feed the frontline from the comfort of their own homes,” she said.

The Chamber office is currently closed to the public, but they will have multiple days for shirt pickups. The first pickup day will be Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Madison Chamber of Commerce, 103 Spenryn Dr Ste 100, Madison.

“We are very thankful for the great response we have received from the community,” Wright said. “And, we are extremely appreciative of the men and women who are on the frontlines.”
