Madison County has fourth reported death from COVID-19
The number of COVID-19 cases in Madison County remained the same overnight, but there is now a fourth death from the illness. The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) has not confirmed it yet, but did list it as a reported death.
There are a total of 4,241 cases of COVID-19 in Alabama, according to the ADPH as of Thursday, April 16, at 8:30 a.m. There are currently 639,733 cases of COVID-19 nationwide, with 30,990 deaths and 52,739 recovered, according to Johns Hopkins University.
Madison County remained at 194 cases this morning. Limestone County ihas 38 cases and no deaths.
Of 123 deaths reported statewide, 75 have been confirmed as due to the virus across the state by the ADPH. The department also reports 525 total hospitalizations due to COVID-19.
