Bob Jones High School graduation is still on for today

MADISON – The Bob Jones High School graduation will still be held today at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., said Bob Jones principal Sylvia Lambert.

There had been some concern that possible storms entering the area later today would push the ceremonies back to Friday or later.

“At this point, it looks like we will have a mixture of sun and some clouds with a very slight chance of a pop up shower this evening with more of a possibility to our west,” Lambert said. “With our ceremonies from 4:00-5:00 and 7:30-8:30, we think the weather will be fine for our graduates and families.”

Originally set for Wednesday, the graduation was rescheduled for today due to weather concerns.

To meet social distancing guidelines, the graduation will be held in two ceremonies today. The first, at 4 p.m., will be for students with last names beginning in A-K. The second ceremony, at 7:30 p.m., will be for students with last names L-Z.

“We continue to be in close contact with weather officials to receive updates,” said Lambert. I will send out one additional update around 2 p.m.”

The graduation will be held at the Madison City Stadium on Celtic Drive. You can also watch the ceremonies online at https://livestream.com/ceva/madisoncityschools.
