Shoe fundraiser to help local community projects and people overseas

HUNTSVILLE — A local group is asking for help from the community with a fundraiser that will help victims of domestic violence.

Olive Branch #145 Order of the Eastern Stars, Supreme Council Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, State of Alabama,  is running a shoe drive fundraiser. They will be collecting new and gently worn shoes for Angel Bins from July 17 to August 31. The drop off location will be 5000 Bradford Drive Ste 3A, Huntsville, Al 35805.

By partnering up with Angel Bins, Olive Branch #145 OES will get paid for what they collect and plan to use the funds towards their Domestic Violence and Children Community Service projects.

Shoes can be all sizes, but must be pairs and still wearable. No heels, fuzzy slippers or metal cleats.

After Angel Bins collects the shoes, they are sorted and cleaned, then sent to micro-entrepreneurs in developing nations which allows people to create both businesses and jobs for people in local communities. Their income supports their families, and the inventory shoes the communities.
