Models McDonald, Moore volunteer for Sparkman student photographers

MADISON – Local models Denise McDonald and Jordan #ChillCity Moore shared their skills for a workshop with photography students at Sparkman High School.

“Due to the extreme success and awareness of the first model workshop, Eric Mittman, teacher of photography at Sparkman, reached out to me,” Moore said. For the original workshop, Laura Voeten and Lizzy Voeten coordinated and modeled for the session, but they have since returned to their home country, the Netherlands.

McDonald and Moore are straight from their two wins on Aug. 25 as “2021 Top Model Walk-Off Winner” during 2021 Fashion Week Alabama, sponsored by Alabama Fashion Alliance. “Denise and I decided to use our platforms and momentum to bring focus and attention to young photography students at Sparkman that are interested in the fashion and model industry and want to pursue photography as a profession,” Moore said.

The workshops, in collaboration with Alabama Fashion Alliance, were designed to give student photographers one-on-one experience, while encouraging happiness and passion through entrepreneurship.

Recently, Moore starred in lead role of Javier in “Right Man, Wrong Time,” a sold-out stage play at Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center and performed live with Victoria Jones for “Concerts in the Park” by Arts Huntsville.

As a philanthropist, Moore has served his community in innovative ways, such as partnering with local nonprofit Village of Promise to generate long-lasting revenue through music. Recently, Village of Promise and Moore released a single, “Love Your Neighbor,” available on all streaming platforms.

In addition, Moore has been accepted into the 2021 Leadership Greater Huntsville, Connect 24 Class. Officials have identified this group of emerging civic leaders, who will receive training to better serve the community.

“It truly feels amazing to be able to use my platforms and love of the arts to serve my community and state in such innovative ways,” Moore said. “Hopefully, this sparks a movement within the community to come together and bring even greater positive notoriety to our fast-growing cities.”

Helping the Sparkman workshop, Alabama Fashion Alliance supports and cultivates local designers and artists in the fashion and beauty Industry. The alliance also serves a viable launching pad for emerging talent and aspiring business owners. Fashion designer LeJeune founded the alliance.
