Bowling Sensation Emily Lindsey Signs Scholarship

HARVEST- A six-year starter for the Sparkman High bowling team, Emily Lindsey, team captain and First Team All-State performer, signed a scholarship to bowl for the University of Pikeville of Kentucky. The anchor member of the 2020-2021 Alabama State Champion Senators where she finished fourth at the State Tournament, Lindsey carries a 211 average on the lanes and a 4.1 grade point average in the classroom. She plans to study social work in college. Her rise among the ranks of bowling stemmed from the fact she loved the challenge of the sport each time she took to the lanes. She was diagnosed with scoliosis and wore a fulltime back brace during both her seventh and eighth grades, but the scoliosis did not keep her from bowling and earning her a college scholarship.
